Do you accept insurance?
We are able to accept insurance for insurance covered services. This means that some services requested may not be covered by your insurance plan. Insurance coverage may vary based on the individual provider you are seeing and their in network status.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
24 hours notice is required for rescheduling or canceling an appointment.
Applicable fees will be charged as indicated in the informed consent. Repeated cancellations or no-shows (more than three) without sufficient notice may result in the termination of therapy and other referrals.

What should I do if I am in crisis?
We do not provide emergency crisis services. If you are in imminent danger, or experiencing suicidal thoughts; please call 988 for crisis support, 911, or go to the nearest hospital emergency room.

Can your agency provide medication management?
No. our clinicians are licensed counselors and they do not hold a medical degree. Due to this we are unable to prescribe or recommend medications. We are though advocates of coordinating care with your prescribing provider/psychiatrist or can provide referrals to community providers that are able to prescribe.

How long will I be in therapy?
The most common reason for ending therapy is that a client’s concerns have been addressed but specific time frames vary, based on the presenting problem. However, you are free to end therapy at any time. In addition, if it becomes apparent to me that your challenges lie beyond my expertise or ability, your clinician is ethically obligated to discuss this with you, and offer you appropriate referrals.

How do I get started?
To schedule an appointment you may contact the office at 502-633-1315 (for all locations), request an appointment on this website by selecting the clinician or a non specific clinician.
If you are seeking ABA services for your child please complete the request for ABA form on the website and someone will reach out to you regarding additional information and the current waitlist.

Can my therapist make court recommendations?
Your counselor is not able to make court recommendations as these often fall out oi the scope of practice and education for the counselor. Recommendations regarding parental abilities or access are not in the scope of our practice and should be evaluated by an appropriate court appointed individual. If the counselor is subpoenaed court fees will apply at the rate of $150/hour with a minimum of 6 hours for the day and an additional $150 for each additional hour past the first 6.

Do you offer part/full time ABA therapy in clinic?
We do provide limited in office services for ABA therapy in our Shelbyville, Crestwood, and Bedford location (not Paducah). We provide most of our services in home or the community setting to meet the needs of the individual through a focused ABA model. We do not provide a 20/40 hour clinic model. If you are seeking a full or part time program we can provide you with referrals.

Can I opt out of my insurance?
If you do not wish to use your insurance you may choose to opt out of using your insurance plan for therapy and pay the self pay rates. If we are INN and you opt out we will not be able to provide you with a superbill. If you are seeking a therapy services that is not covered by insurance (lack of medical diagnosis or does not qualify for use of insurance) you may opt out of using your insurance to receive those services (couples counseling, counseling that is not diagnostic related, pre marital counseling, therapy intensives).
