Cora King, LPCA

Cora is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) in Kentucky who provides a supportive and grounded environment for individuals seeking meaningful change. With over seven years of experience in community mental health, as well as additional experience working with clients in addiction treatment, she works with clients from all walks of life to navigate complex transitions and emotional hurdles. Her practice is deeply informed by her roles as a Christian wife, mother, and grandmother, allowing her to approach each session with a high value for faith, family, and the unique legacy of every individual.

Cora utilizes a holistic, evidence-based approach that includes Person-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Additionally, she is SYMBIS certified, offering expert guidance for couples through pre-marital counseling. Currently a doctoral student in Developmental Psychology at Liberty University, she brings an advanced understanding of how individuals grow and adapt across the lifespan to help clients understand how past experiences and current milestones intersect.

Cora earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Graduate Certification in Mental Health Studies from Liberty University, following a Bachelor’s in Human Services Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. She is currently now accepting new clients via telehealth. Whether navigating the complexities of parenthood, life transitions, or seeking deeper self-understanding, she is honored to help clients build the tools necessary for a more resilient and balanced future.
