Jen Stephens MEd, LPCC-S, LBA, BCBA, PMH-C
Jennifer Stephens (She/Her) is the clinical supervisor and co owner. She is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor (LPCC-S) as well as a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in the state of KY. She obtained her Bachelors degree in psychology at Truman State University in 2004; during this time she gained experience through internships in forensic interviewing, trauma, grief and loss, attachment work, and biofeedback research.
Her graduate clinical training is from The University of Missouri- St. Louis for her LPCC graduating in 2008. During this time she gained experience in both residential settings with children and as a social worker working with adults to support their mental health needs and aid in finding resources for those diagnosed with a range of diagnosis.
She then completed her certification training through Florida Institute of technology for her BCBA in 2010. Prior to private practice she had worked in community mental health from 2008-2014 at Seven Counties Services.
Her areas of specialty include supporting needs of neurodivergent adults and children, anxiety, depression, trauma, sex/intimacy, and perinatal mental health needs including intertility. She works with individuals, groups, families, and couples.
Training includes EMDR, PMH-C, play therapy training towards her RPT, Autplay Certified, and ASSECCT courses in Sex Therapy completed under consultation for sex therapy. She works with individuals as young as 2 all the way through adulthood. Her preferred age range is 2-11 and 18 +.
In addition to providing counseling services Jen is licensed as a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) within the state of Kentucky and certified as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services through the Michelle P Waiver, private insurance, and self pay within the home and community setting.
Her primary focus is supporting Neurodivergent individuals and families on developing skills based on identified/requested needs and generalized across settings. Her primary approach is working in the natural environment or through play based social groups. She takes a family systems approach by including all members of the family to support the whole unit.
She also provides supervision to those seeking supervision for both their LPCA as well as fieldwork experience supervision towards their BCBA; with supervision training and credentials for both as well as clinical supervision for those completing practicum or internships in counseling.
