More about Mary Thompson LPCC-S

Mary Thompson is an LPCC-S who is passionate about working with the LGBTQ+ community as well as people who are dealing with physical, mental and emotional trauma.  She has been a therapist with Stephens Behavior Consulting for the past six years and in that time has been trained in EMDR and often uses this methodology, along with mindfulness training, to help people with trauma.   She is opened minded to people of all faiths and backgrounds, which allows her to be a safe place to deal with religious trauma as well.

Mary enjoys working with people 13 years and older and has intimate knowledge of the school system and how to help teenagers navigate school and learn how to advocate for themselves as well as understand how to set healthy and attainable goals in order to make sound decisions about their future.  She understands that helping kids learn how to set healthy boundaries and learn their potential is a way that she can help make the world a better place.

It’s not just teenagers who need help learning about healthy boundaries and Mary enjoys working with anyone who needs help in this area.  She believes that healthy boundaries are hard, but necessary to have the kind of relationships that are beneficial to a person and that will allow them to live life to the fullest.
